The Challenge
The little things about the people we care about live in our heads, next to work and passwords. A friend mentions a new job, a nephew’s exam date, a birthday that keeps slipping past. Life is bad at reminding us, so the birthday lands a day late and the interview goes unasked about.
Existing tools were the wrong shape. Personal CRMs borrow their structure from sales software: pipelines, stages, follow-up quotas. Social apps optimise for feeds and streaks. Neither fits the job of quietly remembering what matters about a handful of people.
The Solution
Calm. Private. Built to be used less.
Kinu is a private place to save birthdays, stories, notes, voice notes and small moments about the people who matter, with a gentle nudge when it has been a while. No feeds, no followers, no streaks.
It is local-first: notes live on the device and work offline, and Kinu Plus adds encrypted sync across devices and desktop access. The app launched on the App Store and Google Play in July 2026 and is free for your first ten people.
